Tofu Stir Fry Veggies
Season with salt and pepper and remove.
Tofu stir fry veggies. In a large skillet over medium high heat heat 2 tablespoons oil. Combine tofu pepper and 2 teaspoons cornstarch in a medium bowl. Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds. When the tofu is caramelized remove to a plate.
Pan fry the tofu until golden brown. Add 2 tablespoons of the prepared sauce to the tofu and allow to cook for an additional 2 3 minutes. Add the scallion whites garlic and ginger and stir fry 30 seconds. Add the cubed tofu to the pan and let fry for 3 minutes.
Add onions garlic and ginger to pan. Place in a medium bowl. Transfer the stir fry to a large platter. We chose broccoli red and orange bell pepper and shiitake mushrooms because they have beautiful colors lots of nutrients and a similar cooking time.
Then add the tofu and stir to coat. Remove tofu from pan with a slotted spoon. Stir in tofu and cook until golden brown. Scatter the cashews on top.
Add tofu to pan. Other veggies to use in a tofu stir fry. Cook the mixture for 3 5 minutes stirring often. You can use lots of other vegetables in this tofu stir fry.
Cook until the tofu is warmed through 1 to 2 minutes. It should bubble and thicken. Stir in onions and cook for one minute. Add the mushrooms and stir fry until golden brown and.
Stir fry 8 minutes turning to brown on all sides. Add the marinated tofu to the vegetables along with 2 tablespoons water. Stir in carrots bell pepper and baby corn cooking for 2 minutes. In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat.
When the vegetables have some color and have softened a bit add the sauce and stir. Add tofu and let cook until golden on all sides turning occasionally 7 to 8 minutes. For a thai tofu stir fry spin replace 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce with fish sauce and squeeze fresh lime juice over the top. Return the pan to the heat and add the asparagus with 1 4 cup stir fry sauce.
Remove from the pan and drain on paper towel lined plates. You can also swap the shrimp for tofu in my healthy shrimp pad thai or add tofu to this vegetarian pad thai.
